The D-Link DNS-323 NAS comes in a nice retail package with its photo and a short features list on the front. In the back of the package there is a more instructive features list with a diagram of how the product can be used within the network environment. A how-to about opening and inserting the hard drive is shown on top of the box.
Opening the package we could, before anything else, see how the product was packaged in a hollow cardboard shell, keeping it safe during shipping. The package contents include the 2-Bay Network Storage Enclosure, a Power Adaptor, an Ethernet cable (cat-5), the Quick Installation Guide and a software and product documentation CD-ROM.
