VIZO Multi-Function USB Lan Dock Review
The product came in a regular retail package with the name and picture on the front, and on the back there are the specifications and a few more pictures. After opening the package, we found the Lan Dock well packed with followed items; the USB Lan Dock itself, USB cable, AC adapter, Manual and the driver CD.
The first thing we could notice is how compact and light is this device. The Lan Dock has 4 green activity LED’s on top of each port. There are 4 USB connections on the front of the device, it features a high-speed USB 2.0 port and it’s fully backwards compatible with USB 1.1. You can use these connections for a lot of USB devices such as mouses, keyboards, webcams, pen drives, etc.
On the back, there are the serial, Ethernet, and 2 PS/2 ports. The 5V connector is located on the side for use with the A/C Cable, but you can also use the side USB connection to draw power when using a notebook for example.
This is an easy-install device, and it includes a driver CD with the needed software. After installing the software, the user is required to restart his computer. Next time your system boots up, it is expected that you’ll have the entire Lan Dock working fine. And the best part is that it does!
